Main improvements
- Once again, the Sparrou website and app have been down several times due to an abnormal increase in bot visits that the server could not handle, and many hours have been spent to reverse it. It is a shame to invest my time in tasks like this that wear me out and do not contribute new content to the project.
- Therefore, due to the previous problem and the large number of visits in recent months, there has been no other option than to hire a more powerful web hosting. A message has been added to the home screen and other sections since it is an expense that I have paid for so far but need to recover: a total of €300 per year. - Several online stores have been added to collaborate with Sparrou: Miravia and Shein. Remember that when you buy from these and many other online stores from the links HERE you will donate a percentage of your purchase to Sparrou at no extra cost to you, and a great help for the project expenses.
- Increased loading speed when visiting the different sections of Sparrou and asynchronous loading of images, taking advantage of the server improvement and various optimizations made.
- Design and user experience improvements when completing the PhotoPuzzle game with a glow around the photograph. You can try it here.
- It's easier to change the language of your user area. Now it's in the bar at the top.
- Word Search game coming soon! Final tests are being carried out and checking that everything works as expected. It's the most complicated game I've made to date, with a complex algorithm, laborious testing, and a challenge to make it work well for the 9 languages and their special characters.
